About the project

The complex for The Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) is the first of its kind in Nigeria and only the 3rd in Africa. The brief called for a complex which accommodates worship facilities, training facilities and accommodation units.

The site covers an area of 37,000 sqm and as part of the LDS social responsibility to the host community, a 2km bridge over a river was constructed by the client to enhance access to the site and communities beyond. Completion and dedication took place in July 2005.

The buildings provided include a granite clad Temple Building, and Ancillary Building, a Stake Building and Utility Buildings.
